Dan MartinThese terms and conditions apply to any person entering a competition operated by Erewash Sound CIC, or our sponsors. Other specific terms and conditions may also apply to certain competitions, but these will be made clear during all promotional messages and on-line. These may include a requirement for the winner to enter into promotional opportunities with the radio station.
To enter, you must be over 16 years of age and resident in the UK. Any entrants made by anyone under the age of 16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Employees of Erewash Sound CIC; or employees of associated companies may not enter a competition run by the radio station.
Erewash Sound will not accept any responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed or damaged. Proof of sending post or e-mail or making a phone call is not proof that entries were received by us.
Unless otherwise stated, entries are limited to one per household or primary residence per competition, although entries are acceptable from family members who reside at different addresses. For all prize draws, correct answers will be entered into a ‘hat’ from which one correct entry will be drawn and deemed the winner. For entries submitted by e-mail, it is deemed that the applicant will receive any reply correspondence sent by the radio station. The closing date for entries is specified for each competition and relates to UK time.
Winners will be formally notified by the most appropriate method within 14 days from the competition closing date. Full details of the prize will also be given upon notification. Where we notify a winner by email or text we will ask for confirmation of receipt by reply email or text. Where contact cannot be made with the winner for whatever reason, or the winner is unable to adhere to these terms and conditions, Erewash Sound reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant. Please allow 28 days for delivery of all prizes. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Unless cash prizes are offered, there are no cash values assigned to any prize and no cash equivalent is available. If an advertised prize is not available, we reserve the right to offer an alternative which is of equal or greater value than the prize first advertised. Where prizes are in the form of tickets for any particular event or attraction, the winner is responsible for all other costs related to getting to and from it, and whilst at the event, this includes travel and food/drink costs.
False declarations or entries deemed to have been solicited through collusion between any group of entrants will lead to the disqualification of all relevant entries. See notes in red below.
We reserve the right to request proof of name and address from any potential winner prior to their prize being allocated. Erewash Sound is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied by sponsors and cannot be held liable for any damage, loss or disappointment for any participant, howsoever applicable.
Callers by telephone are not necessarily entitled to enter on-air competitions, and will not necessarily appear on air, and if so, not necessarily in the order in which they called. Erewash Sound is not liable for reimbursing costs for telephone charges when either on-hold or on-air. All valid competition entries and details, howsoever submitted will be kept for a reasonable period of time to assist in administering the award of any prize, and to ensure transparency in all processes. This does not include invalid entries which, if deemed not to meet terms and conditions, will be deleted immediately. All e-mail addresses may be entered into a distribution list for station promotional information, which will offer opportunities to unsubscribe with all future mailings received by the entrant.
Entry in the competition implies acceptance of these rules, which we reserve the right to amend at any time. Any rules for specific competitions are designed to be read in conjunction with these rules. Competition specific rules apply in the event of any conflict. These rules are considered to be governed by English Law.
An entry to any competition advertised on our website or on-air constitutes acceptance of the terms of use.
Please do not enter our competitions if you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions.
