Three Valleys Housing and one of their major works partners J. Tomlinson, have just completed their 1500th gas boiler installation in a major project to improve the energy efficiency of homes across Erewash.
The work forms part of the association’s Decent Homes programme, which is coming to an end after two years and nearly nine million pounds worth of investment. The new boilers are not just helping to keep homes warmer, but also helping customers to beat rising energy prices. Paula Hayes, a resident from Ilkeston and recipient of the 1500th gas boiler said, “I am really pleased with the work; the house is much warmer than it was before and we don’t have to keep using the immersion heater if we need hot water, which cuts down on bills.”Phil Brailsford, Asset Manager at Three Valleys Housing commented, “Ensuring all of our properties are warm and heated efficiently is one of the driving forces behind the Decent Homes programme. We are getting really good feedback from our customers who are pleased with the whole upgrade process. “
Throughout the life of the Decent Homes programme, a dedicated team of Resident Inspectors have been overseeing the quality of work making sure that Three Valleys and its partners are offering the best possible customer experience. Following success with Decent Homes, the association is also expanding the number of Inspectors available to them by offering opportunities for training and development.
