Ilkeston cops off to market for 'Street-Meet'

Police officers from the Ilkeston Safer Neighbourhood Teams are off to market this week.

On Thursday, December 7, between 10am and 1pm the team will join forces with Erewash Borough Council and Safer Homes on a market stall in Ilkeston market place.

The event is part of a series of ‘Street-Meets’ where the team are available to dispense crime prevention advice and discuss any concerns that residents have about crime and disorder in the area.

Sergeant Damian Shannon, who is in charge of the event, said: "The event is an ideal opportunity for the team to meet the community and discuss any concerns they may have.  They will also be available to give any relevant crime prevention advice.”
