Bob StaveleyResidents of Cotmanhay and Shipley View will soon see a new officer patrolling in the local area as PC Leanne Peck joins the Cotmanhay Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team.
PC Peck, who replaces PC Chris Buckland, joins PCSO Robert Webb, PCSO Julie Allen, Special Constable Jenna Fletcher and Special Constable Daniel Cave to patrol the neighbourhood. PC Peck began her career with Derbyshire Constabulary at the beginning of 2007 and has spent most of her service responding to emergency calls in the Ilkeston area.Leanne said: “I have been working in Ilkeston since I joined the police so I know the area well and a lot of the local people. As well as my previous knowledge, I have also spent time researching the area to find out more about the issues concerning local people and the neighbourhood priorities. My first main priority will be to deal with the anti-social behaviour problem and to target the hotspots for nuisance and vandalism.”
Leanne is originally from Aberystwyth and moved to the East Midlands to study for a law degree at Nottingham Trent University.
