30/11/2022: With the aim to offer somewhere warm, comfortable and welcoming for people struggling to heat their home and/or if feeling isolated, Warm Spaces are being set up across the borough to run during the Winter months, using funding available from Derbyshire County Council.
30/09/2022: Erewash is celebrating another set of fantastic results at this year’s East Midlands in Bloom Awards.
31/03/2022: Major changes have taken place at enterprise agency Erewash Partnership – with a new chair of the board of directors and a move of headquarters to state-of-the-art offices. 
03/03/2020: A local radio station kicked off tenth anniversary celebrations by presenting the Breakfast Show live from buses travelling throughout the Erewash borough. 
03/02/2020: Draycott Millennium Green Trust have installed a Water Bottle Refill Station at the Football Pavilion on Gertrude Road, Draycott, starting to lead the way in Erewash in getting people to use reusable water bottles to reduce waste and litter.
29/01/2018: The Long Eaton & District Talking Newspaper for the Blind & Partially was founded in 1978 (40 years ago) and is a registered charity.
13/04/2010: Are you an Oddfellow? If not - why not? The local branch is called the Pares Lodge and are celebrating their 200th anniversary in 2010. The group meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:30pm at the Rose & Crown in Draycott. After a short business meeting, a number of social events are held.

05/02/2010: The 1st Draycott Rainbows meet on Tuesdays from 5.30pm until 6.30pm in the Methodist Church Hall in Market Street. They would welcome any new girls aged between 5-7 who would like to join. For more information contact Rose, 1st Draycott Rainbow Guider, on 01332 872298.
05/02/2010: Sixteen people have already joined Ockbrook, Borrowash & Draycott First Responders Group after a call for volunteers. Organised by the Church Wilne Rotary Club and trained by the East Midlands Ambulance Service, volunteers are equipped with and trained on the use of essential medical equipment to be able to respond early to localised calls for help before paramedics arrive. To set up the new group, the Rotary Club will raise funds for the kit required.
