10/01/2024: Angelique Foster, Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner, has awarded community and voluntary groups across the county a share of more than £115k to support her efforts to combat anti-social behaviour.

03/01/2024: Ilkeston Methodist Church is running 'Beat The Freeze Fridays' from 10am to 12noon each week until 29th March 2024.  A variety of activities are on offer, including for children as applicable but children attending must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Go along and join the fun!  Hot snacks and drinks are served without charge.  Ilkeston Methodist Church is on Wilmot Street, at the junction with Bath Street. 'Beat The Freeze Fridays' are made possible as part of the Derbyshire County Council Warm Space Project..

18/12/2023: A man who died following a serious collision in Ilkeston at the weekend and another man who was arrested in connection with the incident, have been named by Police.  A significant emergency response was deployed in the early hours of Saturday morning with reports suggesting that a van had been deliberately driven at pedestrians.
