16/12/2022: Maggie Throup, Member of Parliament for Erewash has welcomed the announcement that Kirk Hallam Community Academy and Saint John Houghton Catholic Volunteer Academy have been selected as two of the latest 239 schools that will be rebuilt or substantially refurbished as part of the fourth round of the Conservative Government’s School Rebuilding Programme.

04/09/2022: Passengers using the Ilkeston Flyer bus service from trentbarton could see an increased number of people on board after the firm said it would stop running four loss-making routes which have been severely impacted by the pandemic and which have no prospect of attracting sufficient customers, with the Flyer service running through an area in which another has been cut.
