10/11/2023: Derby College Group outreach work to schools continues to grow and support a greater number of schools, with the Schools Liaison team and the Apprenticeship Recruitment team working with the majority of schools across Derbyshire, which includes Special Schools.

10/10/2023: An Ilkeston dad whose grown-up kids live in terraces either side of him has scooped a coveted Erewash in Bloom award after turning the fronts of all three homes into a riot of summer colour that was featured on telly.
28/09/2023: Derby College Group (DCG) has been awarded Gold for Student Outcomes and Silver for Student Experience and Silver overall by the Teaching Excellence and Framework (TEF) panel of The Office for Students, who recognises excellent teaching in UK Higher Education providers.

17/08/2023: A momentous day arrived on Thursday 17th August 2023 as Derby College Group (DCG) students in Ilkeston and Morley and across other sites, came together to collect their highly anticipated A-Level and T-Level results. This year's cohort has shown exceptional dedication and worked extremely hard to achieve their results.

10/08/2023: New students planning to join Derby College Group (DCG) in September will be able to enrol online from Thursday 24th August this year – GCSE results day.

28/06/2023: Liberal Democrat members from within the constituency of Mid-Derbyshire have selected Barry Holliday to fight the next general election campaign. The seat is currently held by retiring Conservative MP Pauline Latham, covering the west and south west of the Erewash Borough.
27/06/2023: There were celebrations at the Roundhouse site of Derby College in the City for Refugee Week, with over 1000 people attending. The activities included a masterclass in bhangra dancing led by Surtal Arts, traditional drumming, mehndi painting, exotic and delicious food from across the globe, an art exhibition, and opportunities for students to learn about other cultures and try new experiences.

21/06/2023: A business event organised by Derby College Group at the Roundhouse in the city, resulted in the attendance of over 70 business owners and leaders.

15/06/2023: Derby College Group horticulture students are winners of a magnificent Silver Gilt Medal in the professional category at Gardeners Worldat Birmingham this week. This was for their creation of the remarkable 'Restoration Garden'. This captivating show garden pays tribute to the amazing metamorphosis of Wingfield Station, once a forgotten and dilapidated Victorian gem, now beautifully restored.
