The Baby and Toddler Group meets at the Memorial Institute, Doncaster Avenue, Sandiacre, from 1.00pm – 3.00pm.
There will be lots of activities for parents/carers and their pre-school children, including smoothie making, face painting, guess the teddy’s name and a cake stall.
Sue Harris, the group leader, has been awarded funding from CVS to give the toddler group a facelift. Sue says “We’re very grateful for the funding, as it has enabled us to pay the rent for the coming year. We’ve also been able to purchase additional resources to promote the healthy eating theme to those attending the group, which all the children are enjoying”.
These new look sessions, which will take place on Wednesdays, 1.00pm – 3.00pm, term time, including a healthy eating session once a month, with support from staff at Sandiacre Children’s Centre. Activities planned include making pizzas, bread rolls, pitta bread wraps and growing tomatoes.
Sue Harris, will offer singing and craft activities at every session and is inviting visitors from the Fire Service, Oral Health and the Green Machine recycling.
