Call For Teams to Join Charity Golf Day: Rainbows Children’s Hospice is hosting a charity golf day at the prestigious Chevin Golf Club, on Friday, 1^st October. It is hoped that this year’s event will raise over £5,000 for the charity. Rainbows is now seeking teams of four players to join in the fun.

Community Fundraiser, Emma Lovegrove comments: “With an eye to the recession, Rainbows has tried to make the golf day affordable and enjoyable as possible. The price is only £45 per person and that includes a full English breakfast, soup and sandwiches and 18 holes of golf.  There will also be lots of great prizes to win.”

She continues: “We are encouraging entries from men, ladies or mixed teams. Previous years have proven to be a nice, relaxed day that have helped us raise much needed funds to care for local life-limited children.”

Chevin, located near Derby, is one of the premier golf clubs in the East Midlands. It offers a challenging 18 holes over parkland and moorland terrain. Established over 100 years ago it has the proud distinction that its course was designed by legendary golf course architect James Braid and today is known for having some of the best greens in England.
