Looking after your bone health

Support Erewash Sound

If you could reduce the risk of breaking a bone; if you could help your own bone health to the best it can be - wouldn't you like to know how?

Would you know where to find helpful information that is easy to understand?

1 in 2 women, and 1 in 5 men over the age of 50 suffer a fracture due to poor bone health - however, there are things that we can do as individuals to reduce this risk.

NHS doctors Michelle and Hashem wish to connect various groups in our community to excellent and freely available resources.

Michelle and Hashem have put together evidence-based resources that can be delivered in various formats, including material produced by organisations such as the Royal Osteoporosis Society and the International Osteoporosis Foundation. Some people will be happy to work through the attached leaflet, which has the QR codes / web addresses for various resources. For others a talk, demonstration or involvement with an activity, may be more appropriate and they are doing this via various mediums.
