Beeston woman sets up 'still trading' website during Coronavirus outbreak

Published on: Tuesday, 24th March 2020

A Beeston woman has set up a nationally-targed website page to support and promote businesses still trading to a degree during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Justine from Beeston stressed that the site was 100% free for businesses to submit to and use, and that a new 'Covid-19' category had been set up to allow support during these difficult times.

She said that anyone with a local business can advertise in the category so that people searching to see who is still open can easily find what is available in our community.  Although Justine is from Nottingham, she said that she is keen to get it started in the Midlands and expand from there.

Explaining her offer, Justine told Erewash Sound that, for example, although a restaurant may be closed, it may still be offering a take-away service and added that a visitor to the Covid-19 page can look through the businesses, read the information and then use the links to all of their social media sites, instead of trying to find information about who is open and what they are offering.

Justine said that the page would offer clarity amongst a multitude of social media posts society is being bombared with.

The site can be visited and registered with (for free) at www.top501local.com.
