Closest game ever for Treetops FC

TreeTops Hospice charity team Treetops FC had their closest ever game Saturday against a very strong AFA (Awareness for Autism) side.  With a new manager, new players and around 100 people at Kirk Hallam Academy to watch the game, it was one not to be missed.

For the 3rd time ever, TreeTops went one up after a sweet tap in by midfielder Kurt Newham.  Shortly after AFA scored the equaliser to make it 1-1.  Just before the half time wistle went AFA went 1 up after a superb strike from their player. AFA wemt into the halftime break at 2-1.

15 minutes into the second half TreeTops ex skipper Matt Henshaw scored the equaliser after taking on 3 players and a superb strike from 25 yards out found the top right corner.

After that it was a very even game for both teams.  Plenty of chances but both defences was solid throughout.  From the 55th minute on it was 2-2 until the final minutes of the game when AFA’s midfield broke through TreeTops Defence and grounded keeper Daniel Dobbie to the ground.

The game finished 3-2 with AFA picking up the win.
