Collection for NHS and key workers

Published on: Monday, 13th April 2020

Local resident, Andrea Haycock, is collecting toiletries for men and women who are either working for the NHS frontline or who are key workers at this time.

The reason she is doing something for the NHS is recently one of her neighbours was treated for the virus by them and has recovered.

If you wish to make donations you can find out more and contact her through her Facebook Page

She will then contact you with details of a drop off point.  All the government rules of safety will be applied.  Just place your name on the bag left outside so she can say thank you on her Facebook wall.

Additionally, she has also set up a JustGiving page with the aim to raise £500 to buy toiletries, again for NHS and care workers but also for items for childrens wards at East Midlands hospitals.

A statement on that page says: 'Many frontline NHS and Care workers so not have the spare time to go shopping for essential items such as toiletries but also would not think about buying other items such as hand creams pampering items etc.  My aim is to provide as many of these key workers packs of these items whilst they are fighting the pandemic on the frontline.  I feel it will give them a moral boost that they may need in difficult circumstances, so please donate as much as you can to this fantastic cause.'

Please help if you can.
