Erewash pub landlords are being encouraged to sign up to a rapidly created website born out of what has been described as a desperate and unprecedented situation for the industry. - an initiative to save the country's beloved public houses, has been created in just four days with thousands of venues and pub lovers expected to participate, although Government support for the licenced trade is reportedly being discussed by Government.

Some publicans have elected to provide a takeaway service, whilst others have taken the decision to close altogether over the coronavirus outbreak.   The new website has been created with the aim to connect thousands of pubs with millions of customers who wish to responsibly enjoy pub drinks and food at home.

A national consumer launch is expected in the coming days with each venue given the option to display a menu card and options for collection or delivery.

A spokesperson said that it has not been the best time for pubs over the past few years, but said that the latest threat over the virus cannot be allowed to bring down what was described as an essential and treasured part of English social life.

Government and celebrity support as well as support from major companies are topics currently being discussed on related social media.
