Erewash Time Swap - events and meetings news

Published on: Monday, 20th May 2019

Organisers of the popular Erewash Time Swap initiative have announced the next meeting dates to be held during 2019.

The scheme which now has 226 members has seen a total of 6733 hours exchanged across the borough since November 2016.  Erewash Time Swap sees skills and services given over to others without any money changing hands, helping with difficult tasks one member may not be able to do, and ranging from DIY to dog walking or just meeting for a cuppa and a chat.  As many as 402 hours were exchanged in April 2019 alone.

On Thursday 23rd May from 10am to 1pm, members plan to help All Saints' Church in Kirk Hallam to renovate their run down portacabin, used by groups who support individuals with mental health issues, live in isolation or the elderly.  Organisers are calling on anyone who could spare any amount of time to come along and help with lifts available where required.

The Erewash Time Swap Summer Garden Party will be held in the garden of an Ilkeston member on Saturday 10th August.
