Guidance on processing waste from Erewash Borough Council

Published on: Tuesday, 29th December 2020

Erewash Borough Council has issued guidance on dealing with waste at the present time.

Where possible, residents are being asked to use their nearest bottle bank facilities.  West Park Recycling Centre in Long Eaton accepts paper, cardboard, tins, plastic and glass.

If the bins are full, please do not leave items on the floor, take your items home with you and store them until your next household collection.  You can also use your brown bin for clean and dry recyclable items until garden waste collections resume in 2021.

Other materials can be taken to the nearest household recycling centre at Manners Road in Ilkeston or the council will collect as part of its bulky waste collection service, which is taking requests for collections from 4 January.

Councillor Garry Hickton, Lead Member for Environment at Erewash Borough Council, said: “Please help keep our borough clean and green by making use of the council’s recycling centres whenever possible and by reducing household waste.”
