Published on: Friday, 11th September 2020

Officers from British Transport Police are appealing for help in identifying two men as part of an investigation following a serious public order offence.

The incident took place at around 7pm on September 5th when an officer stopped two men at Derby station for travelling between Nottingham and Derby without holding valid tickets.  Upon being challenged, the two men became abusive and threatening towards the officer.

One of the men attempted to strike the officer with his skateboard before throwing a floor sign at him.   Officers believe the men seen in CCTV images may have information which could assist their investigation.

Anyone who recognises the men in the images seen on our website, or has any information of any kind is being asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 344 of 05/09/20.

Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Can YOU help British Transport Police officers to identify these two men?
