Risley-based Treetops Hospice have unveiled a new brand image for the beginning of the new financial year.

The new look comes some time after a consultation exercise began with almost 300 people giving honest opinions.  Many responses said that the level of care made the hospice stand out, but there was also recognition that securing funding was the greatest threat.  Many said that the pre-existing green-tree brand needed some work and that increasing awareness of Treetops was a big opportunity.

In response, and in a bid to raise income and build awareness, it was concluded that a distinctive new brand was out of reach.  The consultation concluded that the pre-existing brand had become tired and no longer reflected the progressive care given, and it was felt that more people were likely to donate if a charity's brand looked good.

But with every penny being vital with no Government funding received, expenditure on rebranding could not be justified by officials, however the response from key local and regional businesses offered vital help in getting what was needed.

IE Brand donated a lot of studio time, whilst MK Display will be replacing all of the shop fascia signs for free.  Marketing experts Qinesis and Picture Window have also expertly helped and guided.

A statement from the hospice said: "We’re thrilled with our new, modern and caring look and we’re grateful for all the help and encouragement we’ve received in getting it to this stage. To save money, we’ll introduce the new brand over time and replace things as they need replacing.  Thanks again to all of our Treetops family for the encouragement and feedback. We can’t do this without you by our side.

Our new logo is a recognisable overview of a tree. It reflects the concept of a community bonding together, compassion and warmth. We took inspiration from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire’s natural landscape in autumn. Colours include a rich red, golden yellow and earthy brown."
