Officials from the Petersham Community Team have issued a statement after receiving reports alleging that there had been incidents amongst residents of 'hotels' in the area of Long Eaton.
With a local hotel off Bostocks Lane having recently been commandeered by the Home Office to house immigrants, the post on the Petersham Community Facebook page said that the Safer Erewash team were working closely with colleagues at Erewash Borough Council and Derbyshire Constabulary to address concerns.
The statement added that officials were aware of alleged incidents in relation to those 'staying at local hotels' but added that it was important that the community reported any incidents or concerning behaviour through to the Police - particularly if local people felt that a crime was taking place at that time, or that someone could come to significant harm - to please ring 999.
