Police thank the public after appeal for information about Sandiacre canalside dog attack

A Police officer from the Sandiacre Safer Neighbourhood Team has thanked the public for their response after an appeal for information.

On Wednesday 16th January, PCSO Matt Boyer appealed for information after a dog was attacked by another dog on the canal path in Sandiacre last month.

As a result of the appeal several people came forward naming the same person, a 57-year-old man from Sandiacre.

PCSO Boyer, said: “We are really grateful for the information from the public that has enabled us to progress our investigation in to this incident.

“It is very pleasing to know that when people are asked to help they are prepared to come forward, which allows us to keep Sandiacre a safe and pleasant place to live.”

The man has been interviewed and enquiries are continuing in to the full circumstances.
