Reports suggest missing Ilkeston girl Tia has been found

Published on: Tuesday, 11th September 2018

Unconfirmed reports have suggested that an Ilkeston girl who went missing, may have been found.  Derbyshire Police officers expressed concern for the safety of 14-year-old Tia Lowe who was first reported missing from Ilkeston on the morning of Tuesday 11th September.

Tia, described as white, 5ft 3ins tall and of medium build, with shoulder-length dark brown hair and who may or may not have been wearing glasses, was initially reported to have links to Derby but was last seen in Cotmanhay Road at around 9pm on Monday 10th September.

Information received on the evening of Tuesday 11th September shows that a person claiming to be Tia's father - a Johnathan Perkins - said that Tia had been found at her aunt's house in Derby, with more details suggesting that it was in fact the suburb of Sinfin - and after an earlier sighting in that area at around 3pm.

We are awaiting confirmation from Derbyshire Police as to whether Tia has been found, and more details about her welfare and current location.  More as we have it.
