Sandiace Male Voice Choir - a call for new members

Published on: Monday, 15th January 2018

A popular local Male Voice Choir is appealing for new members as the build up continues to their centenary year in 2020.

The Sandiacre Male Voice Choir intend to celebrate in style but would like to make sure that they reach the milestone to become one of the longest running choirs in the Midlands.

The Choir is made up of a friendly group of gentlemen that love to sing a variety of songs from popular musicals to pop to classic male voice choir standards you will have heard on TV and radio, but with the aim to push the health benefits of singing.

Singing exercises the lungs and heart and can help to reduce stress.  Practice sessions are always open to anyone who wants to see what the choir is about and gentlemen need not worry if they can’t read music as this will develop over time with the support of other members in the choir.

Practice nights are held each Monday, 7pm to 9pm at the Sandiacre Methodist Church, Butt Street, Sandiacre and members would be pleased to see new faces.

For any further information on the choir, you can contact the Secretary, Tony, on 0115 877 8669.
