Two push bikes have been quickly returned to their owners after being stolen from a borough park.

The incident occurred around 4:20pm on Sunday in West Park, Long Eaton.  The bikes were a distinctive yellow 'Specialized' branded bike and another, dark grey with the 'Cube' brand.

Police initially launched an appeal using social media for people who were in the area at the time or knew their whereabouts to come forward, however, later the same evening, officers from the Erewash Response Unit gave an update confirming that the bikes had been reunited with their respective owners and thanked members of the public for sharing the appeal.
