Visit Peak District & Derbyshire announces new strategic partnership to aid visitor economy growth

Jo Dilley, Managing Director of Visit Peak District & Derbyshire with Tom Bell

Visit Peak District & Derbyshire has announced a new Strategic Partnership with a holiday home management company as part of its ongoing mission to grow the value of the area’s visitor economy.

A statement described strategic partners as a key network of businesses who share core aims to increase visitor spend, extend the tourism season and champion the long-term success of the tourism industry and the communities it supports.

Its connection is with 'Host & Stay' - a holiday let management company providing short term rental accommodation and property management services, with the aim to help holiday homeowners unlock the potential in their properties, increase the return on their investments and maximise their income.

Through the new Strategic Partnership, the partner firm has highlighted its commitment to working alongside the area’s official Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) to deliver effective destination marketing and build a brighter, more sustainable future.

Tourism contributed £2.894bn to the Peak District and Derbyshire’s economy in 2023, supporting thousands of jobs and driving prosperity in local communities.

Expressing being thrilled at the partnership, Tom Bell, Managing Director, said the aim was to showcase "...the unique charm and beauty of the region. This collaboration not only highlights the incredible experiences guests can enjoy while staying in our properties, but also brings to light the incredible end-to-end service we can provide holiday let and short-term rental owners within the region.

"By working together, we’re ensuring that more visitors discover the hidden gems the area has to offer, while contributing to the local economy, and allowing owners, to start earning more revenue and generating more bookings from their holiday lets."

Jo Dilley, Managing Director of Visit Peak District & Derbyshire, said: “Our strategic partners are a group of influential, like-minded organisations who want to support our core mission to grow the value of the visitor economy in a sustainable way."

She welcomed the partner firm's expertise and added that she looked forward to working with them to champion the local tourism sector for the benefit of local businesses, residents and communities.
