01/02/2024: Members of a chess club gather at the Erewash Indoor Bowls Club off Station Road in Long Eaton every Monday night between 6pm and 8pm. The aim is to help people to learn or improve their game of chess. With sufficient members, the hope is that competitions can then be started.  The first session is free. 31/01/2024: Some of the Erewash Sound presenters will, at the second attempt, be walking from Ilkeston to Long Eaton to raise money for your local radio station!   The team had originally planned to put their best feet forward on 23rd December, but circumstances beyond their control meant the event had to be rearranged.
