Dash cam footage appeal following fatal collision in Ockbrook

A man has tragically died after being hit by a car on the A6096 Dale Road in Ockbrook on Thursday evening.

At around 10.05pm on Thursday 4th October, Derbyshire Police were called to reports of a black Jaguar colliding with a pedestrian. A 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Road closures were in place overnight between the Moor Lane junction at Ockbrook and Arbour Hill at Dale Abbey; Erewash Sound listeners reported the road re-opened just before 7.30am on Friday morning.

Police are keen to hear from any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who drove along Dale Road around the time of the accident with dash cam footage.
