Mark Jarvis

Support Erewash Sound

Mark's creative background is mainly in acting and he is a member of the BAFTA Award-Winning Television Workshop.  He has gone on to land professional work, playing roles in the feature film ‘71’ and television series’ ‘Jamie Johnson’ (CBBC) and ‘The Real Story Of: Unbroken’ (ITV).

He has also represented the National Youth Theatre Of Great Britain and National Youth Film Academy Of Great Britain.

Alongside acting Mark has also obviously always had a passion for presenting and his radio experience began when he started doing promotional work.  From there he interned and undertook his 6-week training course here at Erewash Sound.  He hasn’t looked back since.

After passing through the accredited Erewash Sound Academy, Mark's time with the radio station soon landed him an award for Best Newcomer at the 2017 Community Radio Awards.  He was also successful in 2018 and co-presented the 2019 awards in Barry, South Wales.

After a short period on Monday Morning Plus and Sunday Lunch, Mark is currently taking a break from the Erewash Sound airwaves whilst doing other things although he may occasionally pop up as cover for other presenters.
