2nd: John ADAMSON – NISA Feeders 117-14
3rd: Terry PHILLIPS – Attleborough Anglers 105-11

5th: Steve DOHERTY – Coalville AC 77-07
6th: Chris WAYTE – Coalville 69-02
Number of pegs:  19 (Paid top four)

Report: With the wind blowing into the early numbers, in spite of the rain that fell throughout the whole of the match and the big turn-out, there were fish to be caught all around the lake with the four money winners all coming from different areas.

Steve Ringer on peg B1 had the wind blowing into his face and he caught half his fish on a hybrid feeder fished to the island and the remainder (which included several “doubles”) in the final hour on maggots fished in the margins.  His final total of 207-05 made him a clear winner.

On peg B17, John Adamson caught all of his fish on method feeder fished to the island.  He included three “doubles” and a decent bream in his 117-14 total weight for second place.

Terry Phillips (peg A4) also caught his fish on method feeder, and in spit of losing a few still put 105-11 on the scales to fill third place, with Daz Shaw (peg A11) continuing his run for fourth place with a method feeder caught 97-04.

Steve Doherty was fifth with 77-07 from peg B24 taken on bomb and pellet, Chris Wayte’s sixth placed 69-02 (despite losing several fish in snags) from peg A20 falling to pellet waggler.

Once again it was encouraging to see lots of fish being caught on the pole with “50s” all around the lake.

Report: The heavy rain from the previous day had coloured up the lakes and anglers had to contend with a strong and gusting wind making presentation of bait difficult.  However, in spite of this there were fish caught around both lakes.

On a rare Thursday visit, Daz “Forrest” Philbin (on Derwent peg 23) enjoyed an excellent day’s sport to win the match with 103-04 of carp. Daz fished sweet corn throughout the match and caught especially well during the last hour.

Bob Greenbury continued his excellent run to win his lake and taken second overall from Thames peg 1.  Bob caught the bulk of his fish “short” and from the margins on pellet.

Third place fell to Keith Hudson (Derwent peg 11) with a pellet caught 85-03, which took second on his lake, with fourth placed Steve Bull (Thames peg 11) taking second on his lake with 83-00.

Final money winners, with third on their respective lakes, were Dave Markham (Derwent 2) with 75-01 and Martin Checkley (Thames 17) with 67-09.

Next Thursday the match is on the Avons, Thames and Derwent on Phase Three.
