A Long Eaton man has been remanded into custody until mid-February after local Police received an emergency call reporting that a male had been assaulted in the town.
Officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team responded to the 999 call on the evening of Saturday 17th January, attending the scene on Grasmere Road.
The victim was taken to hospital with a head injury whilst an investigation began with the aim to find the suspect as quickly as possible.
33-year old Aaron Brennan of Ennerdale Road in the town, was subsequently arrested and charged with grievous bodily and detained until a court hearing on Monday 16th February.
