Spring has sprung, and before you rush off to the tip after a clear out, why not look to see if you have any tools that you are getting rid of?
A charity collection of tools has been organised by Stapleford Baptist Church. ‘Tools with a Mission’ collect and refurbish tools of all sorts which are them made into kits which are distributed via partnership training programmes to help some of the poorest in Africa to earn a living for themselves and their families.
They also gift appropriate tools to community groups in the UK such as community gardens, “Men in Sheds” etc.
Gardening, carpentry, electricians, plumbers ,sewing and knitting machines and associated haberdashery, working IT equipment running at least Windows 7 are particularly required with three drop-off opportunities for donations having been scheduled:
