The Dronfield Medieval Festival – Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June

The Dronfield Heritage Trust, a registered charity and company limited by guarantee is staging a Medieval Festival over the weekend of Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June from 10:00am to 5:00pm on both days, led by Sheffield-based re-enactors ‘Knights in Battle’, whose performances have captivated audiences for many years.

From sword fight scenes and weaponry displays, to cooking demonstrations and grisly depictions of ancient medical treatments, the Festival will entertain hundreds of visitors from across the region.

Speaking about the weekend of action and history, Sarah Hartshorne, charity trustee, said: “Events like the Medieval Festival are what the Dronfield Hall Barn does best. We look forward to sharing the delights of the medieval period with children’s and adults alike. You can expect spectacle, hands on activity and delicious food and drinks throughout. So come and join us for what promises to be a weekend full of merriment”.

Tickets allowing entry to the event for one day are £6 (aged 17+), £4 (aged 2-16 years) with under 2’s free. The Barn Coffee Shop will serve meals and drinks across the two days, there is a bar and several Festival-themed stalls including children’s crafts and traditional games.
