Cordon put into place in Long Eaton after altercation between two men

Long Eaton Police officers have issued an appeal for information after two men became involved in a fight in the town centre.

A statement from Derbyshire Police said that reports were received about an assault at around 11:15pm on Thursday 10th September, which led to a cordon being put into place in the Market Place, which remained in place on Friday morning 11th September whilst investigation work continued, with some local shops being forced to remain closed as a result.

The statement said that two men were taken to hospital for injuries described as ‘non-life threaning’ but that two men had been arrested in connection with the incident.

Anyone who was in the area at the time, who witnessed the incident, or who has any form of video footage, is being asked to make contact using any non-emergency contact route as detailed below.
