Worried about energy prices rising? Warmer Derby and Derbyshire can help!

The most vulnerable in our communities will be hit hardest this winter.  Energy prices are set to rise significantly (by at least £139 up to £154) this October, alongside the phasing out of the £20 uplift for those on Universal Credit, the end of the furlough scheme and higher National Insurance costs for lower paid workers.

Many smaller energy companies are going out of business. Therefore, you could be automatically switched to a different tariff that might be considerably more expensive.

Warmer Derby and Derbyshire is part of charity Marches Energy Agency and is offering free and impartial advice to help householders who are worrying about energy bills. 

The Warmer Derby and Derbyshire team can provide a wide range of support including:

• General help and advice on rising energy bills
• Help with fuel debt and issues with fuel suppliers
• Advice on eligibility for grants that provide fully funded insulation and heating improvements 
• You could be eligible for home energy checks and free energy saving measures
• Support to help you stay warm this winter

They can also help eligible individuals apply for the Warm Home Discount which, if successful offers £140 towards energy bills.
