Long Eaton man jailed after supermarket thefts

A Long Eaton man has been jailed for three months after stealing alcohol and baby clothes from two local supermarkets.

Chris Williams initially targeted the ASDA store on Midland Street on 22nd April, stealing two bottles of Jack Daniels and just two days later, went to the TESCO store on Waverley Street where he stole baby clothes, then returned later the same day and attempted to steal £120 worth of alcohol

The 30 year local old was arrested after security guards and a local police officer formally identified him.  He was subsequently charged and remanded into custody before appearing at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court on 25th April where the 12 week sentence was handed down.
