No suspicious circumstances after body of a woman is found in Ilkeston

Police officers in Ilkeston have responded to call from a member of the public after a body was found.

The call came around 7:40am on Monday morning (26th June) with officers attending Straws Bridge Nature Reserve, where a woman in her 70s was discovered in the water. She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service.

An investigation into her death has been launched, however, there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
