Police seize a large quantity of vapes in Long Eaton

Officers from the Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Teams have seized a large quantity of vapes with an estimated value of £300 during a routine patrol.

NIO Statham and PCSO Cooper were in West Park in the town when a member of the public reported that there was some suspicious behaviour in a shelter on the area of green space.

Upon being challenged, three young males ran off, but left the items behind.  Two young males returned to the scene later but couldn't provide sufficient reasons why they were in possession of such a large amount of vapes, which led to the items being seized.

A statement pledged to continue with patrols around anti-social behaviour hot spots in order to help make the local area a safer place.
