Two arrested after teenager assaulted at house in Cotmanhay

Local Police Officers have been called out following the receipt of reports that two people had entered a house in Muskham Avenue, Cotmanhay, armed with a knife. The incident, at around 8:30pm on 13th January led to a teenaged boy suffering a stab injury. He was taken to hospital but it is understood that he will make a full physical recovery. Work has started to build a bridge over the Erewash Canal in Long Eaton which will be a vital link for residents of the town. A group of walkers in Erewash is seeing 2026 in with a change to its membership after a long standing member decided to step down. Tony Beardsley was an original member of the Erewash Ramblers Committee, starting out as Programme Secretary and then becoming Chairman.
