Derby College Group is inviting employers, charities, training providers and community organisations from across Derbyshire to take part in the Inclusion Showcase 2026: Celebrating Diversity, Empowering Voices, taking place on Thursday 26th March 2026 at its Broomfield Hall Campus in Morley, Ilkeston.

The free ticketed event will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm and will bring together organisations that are committed to inclusive employment, accessibility and equal opportunity. The Showcase will provide a powerful platform for organisations to promote their work, build partnerships and connect directly with talented young people preparing to enter the workforce.

At the heart of the event is a Reverse Jobs Fair, hosted by Derby College Group’s Supported Internship students. In this innovative format, the traditional recruitment model is turned around, with students leading conversations with employers, introducing themselves, sharing their skills and aspirations, and exploring real paid employment opportunities in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

For employers and organisations, the event offers a unique opportunity to meet motivated local candidates, demonstrate a commitment to equality and social impact, and build meaningful connections with education providers, charities and businesses working to create more inclusive workplaces.

The Inclusion Showcase will highlight organisations and initiatives working across areas such as accessibility, neurodiversity, mental health, cultural awareness and equity in education and employment.

Free exhibition stalls are now available for organisations that would like to showcase their services, employment opportunities, support programmes or community work, and to be part of a collaborative event helping to shape the future of inclusive employment across the region.

Amy Bacon, Supported Internship and Work Experience Lead at Derby College Group, said: “The Inclusion Showcase is about changing the way employers and young people connect. Our Supported Internship students are talented, motivated and ready to work. They simply need the right opportunities.

“The Reverse Jobs Fair puts students at the centre of the conversation and allows employers to see first-hand the skills, enthusiasm and potential they can bring to the workplace. We are proud to bring together organisations that share our commitment to building a workforce that reflects the diversity and talent of our community.”

Supporting the transition into employment
Derby College Group’s Supported Internship programme helps young people with additional needs move from education into paid employment through tailored training, real world work experience and strong partnerships with employers. The programme also supports organisations to develop more inclusive workplaces while building a reliable and skilled talent pipeline.
