The Long Eaton Natural History Society are holding another of their popular Wildlife Walks on Saturday 30th May called ‘The Small Blue Butterfly’ at Pleasley Pit.
To take part, meet outside the visitor centre, NG19 7PH at 10:00am (toilets, cafe and free parking available), for an approximately 3 mile walk on undulating ground, with the chance to see birds and butterflies, led by Chris Hazel and Kevin Marriott.
LENS Membership costs £25 per year for all events, except those defined as ‘specials’. All LENS Wildlife Walks cost £15 per year, otherwise, the cost is £2.50 per event. Participants in walks are encouraged to wear waterproof clothing and footwear as they are often on muddy or uneven ground, and in the event of uncertainty over the weather, to check that any event is going ahead. Please note that photographs taken on LENS Wildlife Walks may be posted on the LENS Facebook page.
