LEOS Youth Group presents ‘The Addams Family School Edition’: 2nd-4th July 2026

LEOS Youth Group is celebrating success after scooping multiple awards and nominations at the prestigious National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) Awards and securing further recognition at the forthcoming Derby Eagle Awards.

The award-winning group, which has been nurturing young performers since 2011, received three awards and two nominations at the NODA East Midlands District 1 Awards.

Their acclaimed production of Les Misérables School Edition was named Best Youth Production. Cast members Bella Syson and Findlay Parker both won Outstanding Individual Youth Performance awards for their roles as Eponine and Jean Valjean, respectively.

The group also received two NODA nominations for Into the Woods Jr, with Nathan Crookdake nominated for Outstanding Individual Youth Performance for his portrayal of Cinderella’s Prince. The production itself was shortlisted for Best Youth Production.

The success does not stop there. LEOS Youth Group has also received five nominations in the 2026 Derby Eagle Awards, with winners due to be announced later this year.

The nominations include Best Newcomer recognition for Shannon O’Donnell, Musical Director for Into the Woods Jr, and Aoife Clarke, Choreographer for Crazy for You Youth Edition. Findlay Parker has also been nominated for Best Performance for his role as Bobby Child in Crazy for You Youth Edition, while both Into the Woods Jr and Crazy for You Youth Edition have been shortlisted in the Best Youth Show category.

The recognition comes as the talented youngsters enter the final fortnight of rehearsals for their next show, The Addams Family School Edition. The family-friendly musical will run from Thursday 2nd to Saturday 4th July at the Duchess Theatre, Long Eaton.

LEOS Youth Group Creative Director, Siobhan Parker, said she was thrilled with the recognition: “To be nominated for so many awards and then to win so many has completely blown us away. It’s a fantastic reflection of the talent within our group, both on stage and behind the scenes, and demonstrates the commitment, creativity and passion that go into every production.
