At what will be the last in this season’s series of Wildlife Talks staged by the Long Eaton & District Natural History Society, Beverley Rhodes will share her knowledge of birds in a talk entitled ‘A Sit-in with Owls and other birds’ on Wednesday 25th March.
Beverley has, for many years, cared for injured and homeless birds. Her talk will include a display of slides, followed by a chance to meet/hold in person, resident friends to understand a little more closely how valuable they are in our countryside.
Meetings start at 7:00pm in the United Reformed Church, Midland Street, Long Eaton. NG10 1HQ at a cost of £2.50 for visitors. Refreshments will be served at the break. All are welcome.
For more details, send e-mail to lensnaturalhistory @ gmail.com.
The talks will resume on 23rd September 2026 when Michael Lacey will speak about the ‘Alien plants of Derbyshire’.
