The first Wildlife Walk of 2026, organised by The Long Eaton Natural History Society will be held on Monday 27th April around St. Chad’s Water and St. Chad’s Church.
To take part, meet at 6:00pm in the church car park on Wilne Lane, DE72 3QH, for a gentle walk around the lake and with a tour of the church, led by Joan Breakwell (lake) and Pamela Mee (church).
LENS membership costs £25.00 a year for all events, except ‘specials’. All Wildlife Talks only cost £15.00 a year.
Attendance at each meeting is £2.50.
Please wear waterproof footwear and clothing for walks which are often on muddy or uneven ground. If the weather is uncertain, please check that the event is going ahead before heading to the meeting location. Photographs taken at each event may be used on LENS social media.
