New lunchtime Pop ‘n’ Rock choirs bringing singing, friendship and well-being to Borrowash

Following the success of a Pop ‘n’ Rock choir in Long Eaton, a new lunchtime community choir will begin in September 2026 in Borrowash.

The choirs offer much more than learning songs. Singing together can lift your mood, build confidence, reduce feelings of isolation and create a wonderful sense of connection and belonging.

The Pop ‘n’ Rock choirs offer a friendly, supportive environment where people can take some time for themselves, meet others and enjoy the positive impact that music can have on their wellbeing.

There are no auditions, and members don’t need any previous singing experience or the ability to read music. It is simply about coming along, having fun and enjoying great pop and rock songs with a welcoming community.

The Borrowash Mixed Voice Lunchtime Choir, will be staged at The Ashbrook Community Centre, Harrington Avenue, Borrowash, DE72 3JE every Thursday from 10th September 2026 between 12:30pm and 2:00pm.
