Ofsted Fred – A Community Play Meeting/Read Through. All Welcome (27th August)

Local Playwright, Alan Dawson is endeavouring to establish a community drama group centred in Draycott and the surrounding areas.

Having something to focus on during the long nights of winter is beneficial to the well-being and offers the opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills. Everyone is welcome to come along whatever their experience of acting – even if your last role was in your school nativity play!

None acting support is paramount for a successful production and individuals looking for non-acting roles and responsibilities are very welcome.

The group, who are presently nameless, will be performing a farce written by Alan, ‘OFSTED FRED’, in the early spring of 2027. Rehearsals will begin in September 2026.

If you are interested in finding out more about the group there will be a meeting/readthrough on Thursday 27th August, at 7:00pm at The Elephant Rooms in Draycott.
