A bus and coach company is once again honouring the country’s Armed Forces community by offering free travel across its network for serving military, service families, veterans and cadets during Armed Forces Day weekend, from 27th to 29th June.
The free travel initiative – part of Stagecoach’s ongoing commitment to the Armed Forces – will apply to all of its bus services across the UK, excluding Megabus, Transport for London (TfL), and the Bee Network.
To access free travel:
This initiative builds on Stagecoach’s tradition of offering free travel to military and veterans on Remembrance Day, Remembrance Sunday, and the VE Day 80th anniversary earlier this year.
The commitment is supported by the company’s Veterans Network – a colleague-led group established to give veterans and service family members at Stagecoach a platform to connect, raise awareness, and help influence the business in becoming a more inclusive and supportive employer.
Simon Tramalloni, Interim Operations Director, and Armed Forces & Veterans Co-Lead, said: “Armed Forces Day is an important opportunity to recognise and thank the incredible men and women who serve and have served our country. We're proud to play our part in supporting them – not only through initiatives like free travel, but also by being a forces-friendly employer with a strong and growing Veterans Network.”
The company has been a proud signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant since March 2015, formally recognising the value and contributions of serving military, veterans, reservists and military families to communities and businesses across the UK.
