‘Butterflies’ was set up in the Summer of 2009 to cover the Derby and Derbyshire areas and support parents who have found it difficult to attend their local support groups. There are already 60 members and numbers are growing daily, with interest in the group from as far afield as Australia.

Leigh Morton is a Derbyshire resident with a child diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hypertension Disorder) in 2001. In 2008, Leigh attended a conference at Derby University and later spoke to other parents, after which time, a committee was formed and it was decided that an online support network for parents with children who have ADHD was needed.
