
The British Chambers of Commerce has announced East Midlands Chamber as a finalist for UK Chamber of the Year 2025.
The distinguished ‘Chamber of the Year’ title is awarded to one of the 51 accredited chambers of commerce that make up the British Chambers of Commerce network.
The result will be announced at the British Chambers of Commerce Awards taking place in October, in recognition of a chamber of commerce that delivers growth and prosperity to the UK and local community.
Among recent accomplishments of East Midlands Chamber are the delivery of a £4.6m UKSPF-funded Accelerator project.
Summary of Accelerator project achievements since 2023 include:
- Support for 13, 617 firms
- £9.7m secured business support, grants and loans
- 1,101 jobs and secured
- Decarbonisation plans created for 1, 093 firms
- 2,607 firms assisted in increasing productivity
- 196 new exporters created
- 143 new businesses set up
- 400 SMEs adopted new and emerging technologies
