Erewash MP Adam takes to the airwaves for seasonal guest appearance

Erewash MP Adam Thompson has taken to the airwaves of Erewash Sound for a special, seasonal guest appearance as presenter.

A regular guest of regular Breakfast Show presenter Paul Stacey when he answers questions from listeners and offers updates on Parliamentary activity relating to the borough, this time, Adam took on the role of presenter.

Taking to social media before his show on Monday 29th December, Adam said: “And now for something completely different! The fine folks at Erewash Sound are doing the unthinkable and letting me loose on the breakfast show!

“For two hours, I’ll be on the decks, spinning some of my favourites for your listening pleasure. While I’m a breakfast show regular for my chats with the brilliant Paul Stacey, this will be the first time I’ve held the reins.”

Adam had the opportunity to play some of his favourite tracks, with a selection including pop punk to musicals and bubblegum pop to classic rock, Adam said: “My music taste is, shall we say, broad?”.

The MP’s constituency covers the major market towns of Ilkeston and Long Eaton, as well as Breaston, Draycott, Risley, Sandiacre and Stanton-by-Dale. As part of his show, he talked about some of the ins and outs of Parliament and some of his plans for 2026.

Thanking listeners for contacting him with messages throughout, Adam finished the show by receiving an invite from Brand Ambassador Jeff Martin to make another guest appearance in the future which Adam said, he very much looked forward to.
