Emily Whight reports for Erewash Sound: Local school children have had their prayers answered as the promised snow in Erewash finally arrived.
Heavy snow fell in the borough overnight from Monday evening into Tuesday, covering the streets, making it the perfect winter wonderland and an exciting early start to the Christmas season.
With many schools closing due to the weather, children grabbed their sledges and took to the slopes for a bit of excitement in the sludge!
